Juventus star Paul Pogba could miss France’s World Cup defence in Qatar

The Qatar World Cup is certainly the most prestigious event of all for football players, and that is why it is the talk of the town. Juventus star Paul Pogba could miss France’s World Cup defence in Qatar because of an injury. The 29-year-old midfielder is a French football player for Juventus and the national team of France. He is also deployed as a left winger, playmaker, defensive midfielder, and attacking midfielder. Because of this recent injury, rumors have it that he might just miss the world cup. If you are interested in this, below are some things that you might find interesting.

Early life

Pogba is a Muslim and has two older brothers, the twins Mathias and Florentin, who are also football players like him, and they play for the Guinean national team. Pogba was born in Seine et Marne and grew up as a fan of the Arsenal team. He started playing football at the early age of six, where he showed potential. After seven seasons, he became the captain of the under 13 clubs in US Torcy. He also played the captain in the under 16 teams and has slowly but surely established a name in the country.

Manchester United

In 2019, he left Le Havre to join Machester United youth academy. There were some issues with the move as there was a nonsolicitation agreement that happened, and Le Havre officials had some doubts about the motives of the move. However, they reached an agreement later, which remained up to be confidential. Now that Juventus star Paul Pogba could miss France’s World Cup defence in Qatar, it is certainly something that Manchester United must have been considering.

Injury

The reason why Pogba might miss the World Cup is because of a knee injury that he suffered in the pre-season training. He has also been diagnosed with a problem on his right knee which is said to be a tear in the lateral meniscus. He is expected to go under surgery in the US. He was also known to visit Italy to consult with a specialist. One of the options that he can do is to have a piece of his meniscus removed, but it would rule him out, and he would not be able to move for around three months. But the operation itself is good for young players while it can still affect the way that he moves. He also has an option to do a suture, but that would take even more time to heal, and with the World Cup coming in so near, both options make it look like he would not be able to play for France.

Juventus star Paul Pogba could miss France’s World Cup defence in Qatar because of his injury, but if it is for his well-being, it should be the top priority. Continuing his treatment should be his number one goal so he can recover and play again better later on. After all, this is not and would not be his last World Cup if he misses it.
